Privacy Policy
Blister is a pill counter for iPhone made by Akila Studio ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website. The short version: your data stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Blister is stored only on your iPhone:
- Your blister cards: names, pill counts, shapes and colors.
- Which pills you marked as taken or put back, and when (your history).
- Reminder schedules and low-stock settings.
- Photos you attach, such as a leaflet or prescription.
We have no servers that receive this data, and we can't see it. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless it's part of your own iPhone or iCloud device backup, which Apple manages under its own policies.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect a blister to a medication in the Health app (iOS 26 or later), Blister asks for permission to read the medications you select and the doses you log for them. Blister uses this only to mark pills as taken in the linked card.
- Health data is read on your iPhone and never leaves it.
- We never write to Health.
- Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or sold, and is never stored in iCloud by Blister.
- You can turn off access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Blister.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo of a leaflet or prescription. When you pick a photo from your library, iOS gives Blister only the photos you select. Photos are stored inside the app on your device.
Notifications
Reminders and low-stock alerts are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No notification content is sent to us or to any server.
Purchases
Blister Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. To check whether you have Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives purchase information (such as the products bought, purchase dates and an anonymous app identifier generated on your device) so it can confirm your access and restore purchases. It doesn't receive your name, email, health data or anything you store in Blister. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no selling of data.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services in the app.
This website
getblister.com is a static website. It doesn't use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Children
Blister isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly: edit or delete blisters, history entries and photos in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. For purchase data held by Apple or RevenueCat, you can contact them or us and we'll help.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date below. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
